I posted it in the Shoutbox a few times. I repeatedly bugged people about it in DS. I posted a link to it in my signature in tremendously large letters. It was in the announcement forum. There was a subforum next to Member Discussion devoted to it. There was this very thread in the Announcements Forum.

Interesting.

I guess we'll need to think of better ways to advertise next time if those methods didn't quite do the job.

I am not Evan but I have the sigs not on missed it there , Announcements forum not something I check usual ,shoutbox hardley ever look at it , DS never go there so it isn't that hard to miss at all

I always check if there are new uploads maybe Thats a good place

Right. An announcement on the front page, perhaps, elise? Thanks. I'll be sure to mention that to the Site Staff. They have the ability to edit the front page announcements, not I.

EDIT: I can understand about the signature thing. Some people have really large / long signatures, and people are often just too nice to say anything about it. Generally, a signature should never be more than half a page long, even at 800x600 resolution.

I too managed to somehow overlook these. Perhaps it just didn't occur to me that it had gone far enough to reach the voting stages. Sorry I didn't vote or otherwise participate.

Now that I know it's attracting the attention of more than five members, I'll participate next time.

I'm happy having won any at all after not voting or nominating.

Honestly, Best Critiquer is the one I feel most honored about. I ramble on in my posts and ratings, and I try to be helpful but honest, but the inability to discuss user comments in the database means it usually feels like talking to a wall (or so it seems). Good to know I've helped at least somebody.

Heh, "Best Detailer" seems to me to just mean "Most Anal Questmaker."

But I won't look a gift horse in the mouth.

I'm also quite flattered to have gone into a tiebreaker with Relic for best spriter... but if I had somehow won it, I'm afraid I would've had to concede it to Relic anyway. He definitely deserves it more.

Well, people do know who you are, but your appearances in SOTW and submissions to the database are kinda rare these days. It's not like I have any complaints, and I definitely think you should've gotten a nomination on that one, but... I dunno, just poke your head out a little more often, y'know? People like your stuff when they see it, that's for sure.

Besides, you got nominated for at least two other graphic-related categories.

Well, uh... if ZC isn't that interesting to you anymore, I guess it's going to be pretty hard to showcase stuff.

If you haven't found a new hobby to benefit from your graphics work, why not team up with a design-oriented questmaker like Peteo did?
