Welcome to Map of the Month 21! It's nice to see that we've gotten out of a slump, so let's continue with introduction of this round's contenders:

Also, I would like to bring attention to the first Special Map of the Month - This is a competition set aside that will pit against maps that have been nominated by other users who find it as one of their favorites. All you have to do is make a post in the dropbox with a link to the picture as your nomination, and we'll take it from there!

I have to say Majora has a bit more variety and more work put into his map, so Majora has my vote.

I really can't decide this time. they are both cool and amazing.

Russ' mountains are some of the best that I've seen, but my eye is attracted to Majora's variety.

Looks like I've lost already. Nice job Majora. That's truly a wonderful map. Nice to see lots of progress being made.

They're both great, I think this was my first null for MotM. (apart from when I'm a participant.)

Voted for Majora its like TP (Forest) mixed with aLttP (Dark World) mixed with FSA (Lake) mixed with Lost Isle (Swamp) well done.

If in doubt on MotM, I typically go with the larger map. Majora takes the cake this month. It has a great ALttP sort of layout to it, lots of varied environments, which is key to making a good game, for my money.

I do like some of those trees Russ is using though.

Hmm...This was a close one for me. Both maps were really good, but I voted for Russ because Majora's had a few areas that felt slightly uninspired to me...

I voted for Russ, cause every area seems to blend well together.

Majora hands down. So many graphic clash/look silly... but through that, it looks so very very fun. Just looking at it makes me want to play it. Sure, a couple of areas could have been done better, but overall it's just nice.

EDIT: someone do me a favor and circle (in MS paint or something) places that are blander than the rest, or graphics clashes.
