Inspired by the Mathmatical Sequences thread, verbal analogies are basically associative word sequences where you try to find relationships between sets of phrases or words. The rules are quite simple: Fill in the missing blank then post your own for the next person to solve. Analogies are usually written akin to the form "a : b :: c : ?", that is "a is to b, as c is to blank".

Example: UP : DOWN :: DAY : ?
-The answer here is usually NIGHT. The relationship for this may read something like: Up is the opposite of down, as day is the opposite of night.

I believe you get these on the SAT and some other tests too, so if you are still in school a little bit of practice wouldn't be a bad thing! icon_wink.gif (Also, a quick google search will probably net the answer in most cases, so give other people a chance before going that route.) Also, there is usually only one elegant solution (best fitting) to problems, but sometimes there can be many that will make sense as well.

Alright, lets get it started:

@Gleeok: I believe the correct answer to NoeL's one was "Brain Fart". ... icon_heh.gif Either that or "Data Dump".
Um, and if you get video games for Christmas, I'm not sure what you'd get for birthdays. Toys?

If you ask for video games for Christmas my thinking was you will ask for video games for you birthday as well, because you are a video game junkie! (Aren't we all though icon_razz.gif ) Also "game console" makes the a lot of sense since you'd need something to play them. icon_nerd.gif But yeah, those are close enough.

I believe the answer would be Wolf Link (although FD Link could also work).

If you're talking about the OoT/MM version of Redead and not the TP version of Redead, then my answer is an unarmed Stalfos (since a Stalchild would be too small, and the only Stalfos in those games were the ones holding swords and shields).

Here's one for you all (that might be easy):

Link : Sword :: Zelda : ?

(If that's too easy, try this: Link : Sword :: Ganondorf : ? )

You're right! icon_kawaii.gif BTW, I haven't even played WW and that's what I was thinking. That's what she used in the old cartoon TV series. ... Now that I think about it, I guess she uses it at the end of TP, too.
