Just a quick question: Does anyone think 64x80 trees are way to big? icon_unsettled.gif

As long as it is proportionate... Of course not.

Well...I made them for a RMXP project and figured I'd resize them and redo the coloring and some stuff. Maybe not. icon_neutral.gif

Any size is fine, as long as it fits with the rest of the tileset. I can't say if it's too big or too small without actually seeing it in use.

Like Daniel said, it really depends. Show us the screen, and we'll tell you. icon_wink.gif

Well, here's the tree. I havn't put it in a ss yet, but I'll throw it in a fakie in a minute. It'll go with my SoW tileset too.

edit: No, it's definitely not too big. Submission! icon_smile.gif

My trees are 76x96. ^_^; (Width x Height)

Yes, I know that's not a multiple of 16: the treetops are 6x5 combos and the base is 4x2 combos. They overlap on one row of combos.

It works, but you have to have a lot of space if you want Link to walk behind them. Having a 4x2 combo area where Link is completely obscured is pretty bad for gameplay. I tend to make most of that area unwalkable, especially if there are enemies on the screen.

Generally, I think that big of a tree would work better in a game with no screens, however if used sparingly, I think it'd to fine. It could use a darker shade of green, though, or just a bit thicker line on the shaded side
