Sounds good to me! You are one of the best Pure users, Moo2wo.

Aww, thanks... but I probably won't be using Pure. icon_twisted.gif

Oh, alright. I'm debating right now on whether or not I should use Ezgbz or Classic to enter with. Hmmmm. Tough call. Which one do you guys think I use better? icon_blink.gif

But if everyone enters, who will vote for me!?!

The last time I did this (with Robin and Plissken) I ended up getting creamed... but whatever, let's do this. Dibs on using Giggidy's tileset. icon_blah.gif

Hopefully we won't get any more than 10, the polls are capped at that many options, and I don't want to come up with a workaround/alternate polling method.

You could always just split the competition into two different threads, like they did for SotW 200.

It's not fair, that people willl more likely win, when using MC graphics.

I will also enter a screen, using Pure(remembrance)! I love William's idea ;D

I've almost convinced my brother to enter this week. Just a little more work, and I'm sure I can get him to do it. It'll be awesome, having this many people in one SotW!

Why so? The Mona Lisa (or any other oil painting) is more popular than pencil drawings for a reason. You can make pencil drawings that look better than oil paintings (i.e. awesome Classic shots that beat MC shots) and you can make oil paintings that look like crap (you can also make pencil drawings that look like crap, too). But if you have equally good skills with both mediums (i.e. both tilesets, Classic and MC), odds are the oil painting (i.e. MC shot) will be more awesome. I can't see how there's a question of fairness here.

Sheik makes a good point. Just because something tends to look better doesn't mean that it does the work for you.

Just so that everyone knows, I was only kidding. icon_smile.gif While I appreciate it (there are several tiles here that are worth ripping) I think it would be a little bit boring for two people to use the same tileset, especially when I know that I'd construct a screen very similar to something you'd design. Plus, you did all the work here, so I figure you at least deserve whatever advantage the tileset offers you.

But that's just me taking things too seriously. icon_razz.gif

Unless of course this isn't in fact your tileset. I tried to download it just now but I am averaging 512B/s in this classroom, which is pretty bad.

It is. Like it or not, graphic selection makes a huge difference. It just wouldn't be interesting if I came into the contest having a gigantic advantage.

That said, the tileset alone won't help you much. I'm ripping in a whole new area from TMC just for the occasion.

I'm pretty excited for this week. I decided to use the Classic set. I spent about two hours yesterday modding every single tile I would use. Even Link. I know I won't be able to beat Ebola at his own game, so I'm gonna try for the "wildcard" spot.
