You want to make those mini dungeons your first priority. Almost all of them can be done before level 2, and they hold important items required to succeed, along with some useful ones.

Well, Im finally making some progress!

 

Have made it all the way to level 4... except I need a ladder...

 

There wouldn't happen to be a mini dungeon somewhere around here with it in would there be? If so where... 

 

Found mini dungeon 4, and got the adult wallet.

Where's the letter? Im finding level 5 tough even with the blue tunic and white sword...

 

NVM, had to make a visit to level 6 to find the dungeon item there first...

 

Level 6 dungeon map. Any ideas on this one?

where did you find level 5?

Level 5 is where Level 2 used to be in New Quest.  You need a raft to get to there.

Level 5 is one screen south, and one screen east of level 1.

 

You need the raft from level 4 to get in there. Kill everything, and whistle whilst you work to find the raft.

 

Word of advice, when u get the hookshot in level 5, leave. Don't come back until you've looked around level 6 for its dungeon item, and had an explore of the overworld.

 

 

 

Ps, you like your death knights in level 10, don't you knightmare? It's turning into a real slogfest!

 

Is there anything I can do to reduce the damage? Even the red tunic's not enough!

I keep dying in level 10.

 

I make it round on the first floor to the patra 3, but then die with that cause Ive had to use all my potions. 

 

Gold tunic somewhere? Or maybe some additional heart containers?

I don't know which mode I selected.

 

At the start of the game, the left door was easy mode, the right door was hard mode. I just went out through the bottom door.

 

Also, which hard annoying room is the gold tunic in?

Ive found a bug!

 

After my save corruption, started a new game on easy mode.

 

Absolutely flew through the levels... it really is easy on easy mode.  Got to level 7, and got the flippers. Then thought to myself, F*** it. Im going to level 9.  Got my red tunic.

 

Then I thought to myself, F*** it, I'm going to get the master sword.  Went to mini dungeon 7, and got told to go away as I didn't have all the triforce pieces.

 

When I came out of MD7, my map, was completely blank, and I had to explore the entire world again. Allowing me to pick up every heart container again. The game had reverted to a harder mode, as level 5 was once again full of dark nuts. Didn't have to fight the bosses, heart containers just dropped for me everywhere...    http://postimg.org/image/a78q9mbf3/

 

 

Looks like Ive got the help I needed.. inadvertently!

Well, I found the bug.  It wasn't Mini-Dungeon 7, but when you got the Large Wallet, the side warp was incorrect.  Also, the DMAP was incorrect too.

 

OK, fixed, uploading the fix, requires a restart unfortunately.

So, I went all the way through level 10 into the middle section only to find I was missing a key. Due to time constraints I saved the game and came back later. Had to go thru level 9 again but this time it did not warp me to level 10 and I cannot go any further.

You didn't buy the boots, found on the way to level 9
