i genuinely never thought of this; i've heard of people doing this with baseball caps but it never occurred to me to put a shirt of something in the dishwasher

I am genuinely never thought of putting clothes in a dishwasher. Yes my method may be slow and involve a lot of work but I might even give this a try to see if it works. It's very hard to get grease and grime stains out of clothing when you do a lot of automotive and machine work so if this helps at all I'll give it a shot.

For whatever it's worth I also wash all of my dishes pots and pans by hand. I don't think I have ever used the dishwasher that I own so if I use it for clothing and it doesn't work it's no big loss.

It was a long enough battle just to replace my stolen well pressure pump to get running water in here so this had never occurred to me.

shifting the conversation from nazi concentration camps to drunken rants about technology to thirsty anime posting is crazy

I was responding to someone who brought up a topic that was totally off the rails and that is why I did it, but all of the stuff about my family is quite true and I learned a lot from my grandparents and my ancestors and how to do things by hand that otherwise people neglect and just leave to technology to accomplish.

But apparently other people do not want that or want to derail this for their own purposes whether malign or not

I find it somewhat amusing that people are derailing this into topics of adult anime and that people don't understand or respect the amount of work that I put into making sure that my clothes are clean everyday rather than wearing clothes and being a total bum.

I refuse to make direct reply to these people as they are only troll baiting. If people have a problem with the way I do laundry let them come and do it for me otherwise just shut it.

To be honest none of you need to know what I have gone through with people ripping me off stealing my appliances household goods wiring plumbing and other facets of my living. Many of you would simply laugh about this, so why should I elaborate on it?!

If you are a genuinely interested in the history of my family bring that to private messages and I am happy to discuss it.

Alright, I think Timelord has derailed this thread for long enough. Can we please keep on topic?

I'm generally scheduled to do laundry every Sunday around 6PM. Our apartment complex has a laundry mat and it's the most frustrating thing ever because lord almighty who thought it was a good idea to make a laundry machine require a phone app to use? My old phone would quite literally crash on the app sometimes too, because it's poorly optimized too. This isn't really an issue on my new phone (hell, I'm pretty sure my current phone is stronger than my PC), but still it's annoying.

I tend to separate my shirts from my laundry so they don't shrink in the dryer, which I'll use less heat for to avoid this. I've also become a fan of fresh clean threads™ shirts(this is not a shill). They're slightly bigger and avoid the common issues of being a bit overweight for your height. i also think they might shrink less in the dryer

i dont think anything ive washed has damaged the washer. my favorite when someone accidentally overstuffs one and it starts to teeter and stomp

would not advise this

I wish my laundry machine had an option to wash away the memory of that picture...
