Hey all! As mentioned in the PureZC Community Roadmap thread, we are planning on hosting an official two-week quest contest soon. It’s been quite a while since our last official contest, so now seemed like a good time for one!

 

Before we lock in the date for the contest, though, we’d like to hear your input. Currently, we are considering August 6th-20th as the date range, but we’re open to making adjustments if needed, so we can accommodate as many people as possible.

 

As for the rules and restrictions, we’ll be using the same guidelines as prior contests (which can be seen here) as a baseline, but we’re also open to potential feedback there!

 

Once we do settle on a final date, you can expect a follow-up post with more detailed information on the contest. We look forward to hearing your input!

Er, August 6th is also very soon. Maybe you want to push it back a bit? What with it not even having been announced properly yet. So far no one have expressed any specific feelings on when they want it to be, at least not here.

From a personal perspective, I also feel that August 6th is too early and would prefer the later date.

I’m kind of feeling the same. I could make it work a week from now, but I’m feeling that we would probably do better if giving a week to plan before the contest.

What does everyone else think?

personally, starting on the 21st would be better for me just because of commitments beyond ZC etc. I'm interested in making a quest in two weeks... purely out of morbid curiosity about how the final product would look - particularly after doing the 27 hour quest contest.

It's less that it's too early, and more to the fact that I feel the contest should probably be formally announced and all the rules posted and made in order a while before it's set to start.

Following the feedback from this thread, we've decided to push the contest back a week, making the new date range August 13th-27th.
