Hope you enjoy them, the first is a look at a sorta redone "first screen" or "continue screen" for LoZ. It has CastChaos' new speeder bike and a force field I put in on the top right. This screen probably won't look like this in the final product, I was mainly messing around with it. I probably will be using the gameboy tileset that was just released, and not the 2.10 default tileset, because mainly it's restricted in it's use. Plus I think the new gameboy set is easy to use and fun to look at, personally I just like the style of it.



The second shot is of the full inventory for the quest. It took me forever to figure out what weapons and items to implement into this game, but after a long few weeks I decided and finished it. I think after the game is released, I'll go back and make it a more custom subscreen and put all the explosives together, the force powers together, the security items together, and so on and so forth ......... more organized looking. But anyways here you go, feast your eyes and enjoy. More is soon to come as I start to build the overworld, jedi academy, and first dungeon. BonApetit.

The new item looks are woderful. You say that first screen will be changed, so it doesn't really need a comment. GB tileset, you say? Wow, this GB madness really catched on, I hope it won't be just a fad... EZGBZ is a great tileset.

Anyways I'm pretty proud of how the weapons and items turned out. As for now I'm just making the first accessible areas of the overworld which is the first 3 dungeons. However each dungeon will need to be accessed by whatever item you gained from the previous dungeon, or jedi academy. I even thought about doing something towards the middle or end of the game where you are tempted by the dark side and can go evil, and in doing so it changes the game, the overworld, the dungens, and the items that are accessible. It would make the game harder but you would be allowed much more powerful weapons. I think I might just do this in my next star wars quest though. For now I'm gonna keep this a very basic quest, nothing tremendously overkill!

Well, anyhow I look at, Octoroks edit of my speeder bike doesn't even remotely resemble an ant... Plus it makes absolutely no sense to bash a screen that will be replaced anyways... PLUS it will be Octorok's first quest... PLUSSSS it started out as a 1st.qst modification anyways...

It looks quite a bit like an ant to me.
The handlebars are the feeler bits, which are on the round blob at the front which is the head, and the back is the abdomen.
The front is some strange tongue.

It'd help if:
A) It were grey
B) It were in more of a Star-Wars type atmosphere, rather than just NewFirst.

HOT DANG this is an interesting topic. I was hoping to be encouraged to do this quest because I haven't seen any other Star Wars quests and man ...

Okay look, I was originally going to do a HUGE epic Star Wars quest and make it absolutely elaborate -"Mandalorian War" (a prequel to Knights of the Old Republic). But however I bit off more than I could chew, as do 85% of the people on here claiming their quests. I decided to take a step back, make a slight remake of the original First Quest in LoZ, however it would feel both Star Wars and Zeldaish at the same time. What I'm showing you is the weapons and a silly screen of just a basic remake of the first screen. At least it's something. It's progress. Unlike a lot of quests on here. No offense I guess

And like CastChaos said, this IS my first quest, as you can see I've been a member since 03, and have been involved in ZC for a few years now and I know a good quest when I see one. Granted yes, the two screens I showed you were on the surface - crap. But guess what - it's potential. It's different. It's a risk. Look past what you see. Yes the speeder looks like an ant, it's funny I think so too, but it's something. You have my promise that the quest will be fun, it will have depth, it will be creative and I hope you enjoy it when I release it.

As for the screens, I'm probably not going to post anything else from now on and just finish the quest and submit it. Then you can play it and have fun.

Ok then. Um.... whoohoo! But really, why are you worried about the spacecraft? Things like this will slow you down from creating your awesome qeust. So continue working on that quest, drink some soda or something while you do it, mabe order some Domino's, and fregen make it . ( catches breath )

Hey, Octorok, don't let others make you frustrated. My first quest and demos were much worse accepted (It's almost I got murder threats, lol.). I'm almost the only one anticipating first projects and first tries. Most people will like your quest only if you show spectacular screens preferably with an epic description and a demo that has great tricks in it. You have a long way to go. Also, biting bigger chunk that you can swallow is a good way to learn. I learned the most awesome tricks while scrapping my two biggest projects.
