Reminds me of a recent featured student article in my school's newspaper. It was a girl on the swim team with huge muscles, and underneath her picture it read "look at the guns on that chick". Someone went through all the papers and crossed the caption out with a black sharpie before it was distributed, but it was still readable.

And $40 is way too much for another controller, in my opinion.

Whatever happened to the old days, when games used to be $10 and the system came with both controllers...

Not so much inflation as complexity. The Wii remote's a lot more complicated than older controllers. It's the controller itself, rather than the console, that handles all the motion detection.

Ah. I wouldn't know, since it costs as much as any other controller here in Europia, as do the games and consoles, so I just labled it down to inflation.

Actually, the Wii is as cheap in the Man Hungarian Video Game Store as an old console or as 2-3 new PS3 games together. I don't know how this worths it for Nintendo of Hungary...
