I was meaning to add this a few days ago after the recent thread, but I forgot about it. icon_shrug.gif

Anyway, I have noticed
several people
typing like this
in their sentences.

This is annoying. Not only does it make the reader move their eyes more than normal, but there is no real point to it with word wrap.

Basically... posts with unnecessary line breaks in the middle of sentences are not allowed.

There are exceptions to this rule... which is why I made this thread.

Correct Usage in a post:
QUOTE
Here is my poem:

Trees are green,
And grass is green.
Cows are brown,
And cow patties are brown.

CODE
;This code should
;increase the disconnect variable
;for each disconnect.
on *:ERROR:Software caused connection abort: {
 /inc %disconnect 1
 /echo It appears you have been disconnected yet again. (Total is now %disconnect $+ )
}

Rule violations:
QUOTE
I was wondering
what you thought about
my poem up above
that last quote.

QUOTE
My code in
the quote above the
last one does
not work.

To sum up this rule (what is going to go in the rules topic shortly):

Please do not put unnecessary line breaks in the middle of your sentences for no valid reason. We have word wrap, so "scrolling off the screen" is not a valid reason.

[*]This rule does not apply to poems, code, or other things like this that require such line breaks (not regular conversation).
