As of this week I've been working on a GB quest. And I will be putting scripts in there. I won't need any new ones, and I have all of the scripts I want, but the problem is getting them to work. I can't seem to get them to work. The scripts are simple stuff like the shop script, climbing script, tunic script, rolling script, you know, scripts like that. I was wondering if anyone would get the scripts set up for me, and I'd give them the whole quest file and details. Again, there won't be anything too hard to set up. (ex: Epona)

Whoever does this gets a handsome spot on the credits list. icon_naughty.gif

And I understand people may not want to do this. I hope this isn't too much to ask. Thanks!

They all need to be in the same buffer, or imported to be in the same buffer. Have you already forgotten that?

No, I mean getting the scripts set up. I know how to import them. icon_razz.gif

Do it yourself. You know how, right?

I really can't help until I have some more details. Besides, it's YOUR quest.

If you don't want to help, that's fine. Just don't reply and say, "Do it yourself." And I know how to get the scripts in the quest, I just can't set up the FFCs and the items to make it work. Whenever I try I just can't get it right.

When you're using FFC scripts, do you set the combo the FFc is to something other that combo 0? If you don't, that's your problem. ZQuest erases FFCs with a combo of 0. I had this problem, too.

No, it's not that. I know how to get FFC's on a screen and working. But I can't seem to get certain scripts to work like their supposed to. Ex: The shop script. I don't know how to set it up on a screen.

I could never get the shop script to work either, actually. But your problem is with both FFc scripts and item scripts? If your using 819, then we're in the same boat, sorta. I can never get my items to work. (Like random sounds and stuff like that.)

Unfortunately, I can't help. Sorry. icon_frown.gif

Here are the scripts that I need help with so far:

- Shop Script
- Rolling Script
- Ladders
- Tunics

There's probably more, but I can't put my finger on them.

Just open up The Fort Knights, and delete all of the actual game from it.
It already has all those scripts.

You'd let me do that? Well, now I have a lot of exporting/ importing to do. Wait, Fort Knights has a different Graphics pack and everything. Would that effect anything if I switched the Fort Knights graphics pack to mine? Or is there a way to import my whole quest without deleting any of the items and scripts on the Fort Knights?

Oh, I thought you said you were making a GB quest?

And no, I don't mind if you do that.
It shouldn't make any difference it you change the graphics.
You'd have to re-set a lot of tiles though obviously.

I am making a GB quest, and it's already in progress. And I just realized you are also using EZGBZ. One question: When you were making it, did you change any tiles or anything?

== EDIT ==

By change, I meant overwriting default tiles. I don't care if you made new ones.

==EDIT2==

Actually, I just realized this wasn't the point of the topic. It wouldn't even help if I moved my quest to Fort Knights. I meant actually setting up the script, like adding the FFC's to the screen and putting in all of the arguements and stuff.

Heh, setting up the tunics takes quite a lot of effort, so you'd probably find it easier to start in The Fort Knights.
You don't need ffcs for the tunics or the roll cause they're global(/item).

Yeah, I know. I actually think that now I got the tunics covered.

I just need more of an explanation for the shop/ climbing scripts. I just need to know the arguememnts for each, and where to put the FFCs and everything.
