I have 2 questions for you wonderful people today. One could potentially be a bug.

1. ZC crashes

Well, while testing the new beta, ZC crashed on me while I tried to start the test quest. (My test quest, not 1st.qst). It worked fine if I started on Dmap 0, yet in the Init. Data, when I changed the initial Dmap to match the one in my one-room dungeon, it started crashing. Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

2. Hookshot question

When using the hookshot, how would you go about "hookshotting" across a gaping hole? One that you would not normally be able to go across on foot (obviously.. it's a giant gaping hole). This hole currently is just a non-walkable tile, yet that also carries over when I try to hook this or something. Is there a combo I'm forgetting about right now?

1. I hope it's not 2.5. 2.5 never crashed on me. Try 2.5 beta's 509 or higher. shardstorm.com

About the hookshot: I think there is a specific combo not to let that happen

2. There is a combo Hookshot Only and a Hookshot and Ladder combo. Those let you hookshot over solid combos. Then Hookshot Grab obviously lets you grab onto it with the hookshot.

You have to have a combo that is a hookshot type on layer 0 (just how I do it) and then on layer one put the combos that you want to appear where the hole is.

Oh, yes, I remember that Hookshot/Ladder only combo! Okay, thanks, that question is solved. Thank you everyone for your patronage.

And I believe I am using 560... the newest beta. If you didn't know that already. So in response to TriMaster's response, it is higher then 509.

Oh yeah, and what combo is used for something you jump over with the Roc's feather? is it the same Hookshot/Ladder type?

I think Roc's Feather only jumps over walkable combos...

Ah. That's a shame. So then it's only really useful if you use it in a side-view enviornment... unless... say, it could jump over projectiles. But even then, that's what a sheild is for.

Or you can make your pits as direct warp walkable combos which actually warp you somewhere isntead of just being solid, then you can jump over them.
