Pros:
-You can do more.
-New items.
-New combos.
-New enemies.
-Scripts, meaning you can do many things once impossible.
-Custom items.

Cons:
-Unstable.
-Can wreck your quest.
-Many bugs.
-Can't release your quest to the database.

The 2.5 betas are nice, but remember, you sacrifice a bit in using them... Personally, I recommend Beta 15 or Alpha 357. I see few bugs in either of them. Also, 2.5 has Roc's Feather and gravity. No lie/joke.

SERIOUSLY.

The older beta's are alright like the 2.11 used for Castle Haunt 3 its almost glitchless.as for 2.50's and higher may need a faster PC for some reason and other unexplained S*** like quests going corrupt all the sudden and stuff.i think that they kinda ruined a few things with these newer builds i realy hope the final build is as glitchless.

That... was confusing. >_<
Anyway, I don't recommend you go beta.

Don't upgrade to the beta until you've completely mastered 2.10. It will make you a better quest author.

My two cents.

Ummmm.... WHAT? I never mastered 2.10, but I still went to 2.5.

Remember, it's YOUR choice, but seriously... "They ruined the builds"? Ummm... Okay. So, by stopping new features and only fixing bugs, they ruined 2.5? icon_razz.gif (Edit: That was a joke. Sorry I didn't make that...ummm...obvious. My bad. icon_frown.gif ) And no, 2.5 won't be "glitchless". It's kinda impossible... EVER. Everything's gonna have bugs and glitches with it...

And I don't think quests have been corrupted for a while... If you only stick with proven-stable betas, like b10, then you have nothing to worry about.

The new builds have many new features (custome enemies, subscreens, scripts, ... ) but they are not stable yet. If you're thinking of making a quest right now, I suggest you use an older version.

If you're new to Zquest, I also suggest you use an older version - get to know the standard features before you go and try out the new and advanced ones.

Right, but everyone is different. What works for you may not work for someone else. I did the exact same thing you did, but based on Aaron's ZC experience, he should continue to mature in the stable releases before moving on to betas.
