this is strange,
in the level with a shape of a D (4, was it?) once you get in the upper part of the map you can't get out ! icon_eek.gif
the is a one way door at some point, and the only way to go out is to take the triforce or "to F6"
did I miss something? or is it a wicked trick of nintendo?

(edit=typo)

No, if you walk through the West wall in the Triforce room, you'll be at the lower part of the dungeon.

I looked it up in ZQuest, and I really didn't find any way out. That shutter shuts and no walk thru wall, no passage that could take the player out... This is very strange, because the treasure is extra hidden with a clever trick, so the player surely reenters when the Triforce piece is already gone...

Also, I found that there is a continue bug in that level in the "example_2nd.qst" quest. The continue point is left at 00 instead of pointed to the entrance.

EDIT:
Bowser Blanchette: I don't see that... it looks like it leads to the bottom line of the upper part, still norther than that shutter... True that there are side warps because the Triforce piece, but of course those are unchecked to make the Triforce piece teleport.

Did you walk through the West wall in the Triforce Room, CastChaos?

I see the mark of the walk thru wall, but that still leads norther than that shutter. And of course, side warp can't be activated at the side of the screen, because this is a Triforce room.

EDIT: I just went through that wall. Of course it was as I said. I still couldn't go out.

I remember this. In the original version of the game, this holds true.
The designers of the game made a boo-boo. There is, in fact no way of leaving the level without
A. Dying
B. F6 (Quit - Continue)
C. Getting the triforce

Unfortunately, this IS a Nintendo mistake. But it can be fixed in the ZC editor.

It was left there for consistency. They want the player and quests to be as exact as the original as they can.

Unless, of course, you mean Nintendo's Beta testing. Then I would say laziness. icon_razz.gif

LOL, also you can Quit on the NES via the 2nd controller trick.
