...no matter if you revamped an existing design or if you invented an own, brand new new Char.

ASHEI 

 

I was asked to revamp some 8Bit versions of Twilight Princess Sprites
...this is Ashei (I guess you know her )

The left version is the template I received ...and on the right side the version after her makeover.


p.S.: she's a hero sprite (extended 16x32)
...20pxl  height, to be precise.

Great job on that Ashei sprite!



This is Nargad, a name made up by CastChaos when we were thinking about a good name for a hero.
For the sprite I simply modified these tiles by Scootaloo: https://www.purezc.n...e=tiles&id=987 


This is Argon, a name I made up during the same brainstorming session. You can simply tell he's a villain with that name and the sprite being bigger.   
I actually don't know where the sprite is from, but CastChaos modified it or made it from scratch? I've modified it a bit for the remake
Funny thing is that we only had a sitting sprite of Argon and lazily decided to only have Argon sitting, even during the final boss fight

                                                ....just placed beside Ashei to Illustrate the different sizes.
                              Ashei is an extended player sprite (16x20) and the skull kid is a classical 16x16 NPC.

Playable appearances:  James Quest, James Quest:  Remastered

NPC appearances:  Demo SP

Potential appearances:  Demo ZX, Downfall

 

Age:  ??? (New Quest, sprites don't allow age depiction), 25 (James Quest), 38 (Demo SP)

 

Originally starting out as a helper NPC in New Quest in Level 5 in order to give a Heart from the quest creator, yes the character might have Mary Sue indications.  I'll admit.  James has his own quest series in James Quest.  He reappears in the Demo series as a helper dropping clues and items again.  He is planned to be playable again in Downfall, and for the first time, have a unique sprite or at least coloration.

The only reason why I mentioned the age of the soldier guy, had been that it will be also mentioned in the quest he's used in (it contents Flashback sequences and is a timeloop story)

BTW James sounds like an intressting character

This is "Bagu Baggins" (got his second name, by Shoshon) 
...he's kinda my personal avatar (cause old, bald, bearded, weird and grumpy)
...beside him his little daughter "Baguètte" (animation steps).
...she's cute and has a very uhhhhm "beautiful" smile

...both might possibly appear as side char NPCs in the next Go Gollab quest.
...but this decission is left to the official Gollabers

These are my very first 16x16 sprites since a longtime
...cause in most of my projects I use a player (and also NPCs) which are a bit taller than 16 pxl
Most of em are somewhere between 16x19 and 16x21 (as long as it ain't children or small animals).

A BALD HERO...!!!???

Yes, I am bald...Completely bald
...women use my head as their mirror.. ...so bald am I.

So, I wanted to create a bald hero sprite. 
For me and all the other poor, bald men.


This is what it finally turned out,after a few minutes.
His name's Nemo and he's gonna be the protagonist in a postapocalyptic survival-horror.

While I was looking at him, I began to think:
"If I'm gonna dress him in orange and put an arrow on his blanc head, he might look like...

...THIS GUY!"

...but "Team-Avatar" is almost complete. 

Well, Zuko and Sokka shouldn't be much effort...

These were characters I recoloured for an intro scene I've since cut. It was very early on in my journey with Zquest, I was very proud of them and I found it very hard to cut them.
