Seems like the game's pace is picking up a bit more now. I mean for a while it just seemed like you were stuck at 8 hearts and making minimum headway in the quest. Still wondering what the heck you have to face in level 6 that you're unwilling to fight at this point. And those flies...OUCH. You'd think they're blood thirsty demonic mosquitoes the way they deal 2 hearts base damage to you. Also on a minor note, back when you were in Eolis, I don't know why, but I was thinking of Faxanadu on the NES since the town you start in is called Eolis. Wonder if that's where Jamian came up with the town's name?

Yeah, gonna be going back to clean up stuff in the next few parts. Nice to pick up some upgrades first.

Part 24 - Time to do some catch up work in earlier levels.
Part 25 - Pretty much an outside dungeon environment with wizzrobes every which way
Part 26 - Pretty much need the Lens of Truth to make this trip safely. Yeah, don't want to know what happens if you touch the skulls...

Yeah, skulls are probably instant death. Either have a perfect memory, or just keep trying over and over, racking up a ton of deaths on the way. Also, I want to say some quests can even make it so you can't jump over damage combos, but don't quote me on that.
