Why did you quit the project the first time?

Originally, I planned on closing the project, and restarting it from scratch in a different tileset. Basically, I decided to uncancel the original version after it was already too late to fix the cancellation, making me need to make a new project.

So what gave you the idea of focusing on the "bad side" of things?

idk, I just liked the idea. Originally, it was a comedic story minicomic thing I was doing in middle school, about two darknuts named Blue and Red going to a Minion Recruitment school thing. Blue was intended to be the serious character, yet he didn't know everything, and was basically just a normal guy. Red was pretty much intended to be this ridiculously stupid idiot of a character, who despite how stupid he is, is the strongest of the cast, despite using the weakest weapon, which is a dagger. A third, female darknut, is kind of there, whom Blue has sort of a comedic crush on basically, yet everybody else is constantly oblivious of the obvious flirting, which was a bad idea, because the principle of the Recruitment school thing just so happens to be her father. :3

 

After cancelling my first real quest, which was also a comedic quest, and was also really horrible, I pondered perhaps making The Minion Files into a more serious story. Though the first character I made more serious was Red, even giving him a last name to go with him, I ultimately decided on making Blue the protagonist, as a more normal character would fit the role of silent protagonist more, in my opinion.

 

So yeah, that's about it.

The quest file for this was made when the project page says it was made(September, 23, 2011). It wasn't until a few months later, when I ultimately decided my old quest was really bad, that I cancelled that, and shifted focus towards this.

 

My favorite dungeon is level 3, it was easily the funnest to make, plus the boss is easily my most creative custom boss.

 

I changed it to purple, to decrease the risk of those with eye problems getting their eyes hurt. I actually know a few people that this has happened to.

 

That mostly was due to your relatively high skill in beta testing, as well as me knowing you pretty well already.
