By moving the legs back, is this what you wanted? It makes the perspective slightly less correct, but if you're supposed to attack him in the head it'll make it work for gameplay better.

Tilt the abdomen/rear back so it doesn't look so "looking at from straight above" and it looks like "looking at it from above at an angle. like this kinda:
A) represents where the "camera" should be when viewing the spider to produce the desired perspective
B) represents where the "camera" is currently, giving the "viewing the spider that is directly below" perspective (excluding the legs which mess up the perspective)
I hope this isn't too confusing X_x

Anyway, I'll work with the abdomen for a minute and see what I can do.

So yea, THAT, the image in post #38 of this thread. The one directly preceding this *points* post. THAT spider is what I need. With greens and reds thrown in, 3 frames: "normal" position, "standing" position where it has its body raised, and an "OW, SON OF A!" frame for when it gets hit in the face with a pointy object.
I think that will suffice in terms of being 100% clear in an attempt to minimize any (if at all) confusion.
EDIT: If it becomes too much of a hassle, I'll just use that one then. The one you just (re)posted.

For the 'body raised' do you mean that thing where spiders lift up their head and front legs, or just like a tektite standing up really tall?

Tekitite standing tall. And that perspective will do.

His eyes in the OUCH frame should wide open, in a marginally comical fashin, like this kinda: O o
But I'll do it myself, I've asked enough of you already
