Yeah, FF2's system was... well, it was just bad. Of course, if you played it on the original system (was it NES? I think it was.) you could exploit it and cancel attacks on yourself, but still keep the stat gain. Easy ability points.

I think the reasons why VI and VII are the best FF of all because...
* VI and VII differ from any other story in the FF series.
* Non-Linear Storyline
* Lots of people like Cloud, Terra, Locke, and Celes
* Lots of people are debating on who's a better villan Kefka or Sephiroth?
* VI has a better way to learn magic which can be learned through magicite rather than wasting loads of gil on magic
* VII has lots of action
