This was a really tough choice to make! It was between Anthus, mao10, and Shane. But I voted for Anthus this year. I liked his use of the classic tileset. :D

Anthus and mao10... amazing classic screens. If I had to choose between these two, I would have to go for mao10, because that is really really interesting dungeon design for the classic set.

SirKazuma and Shane's maps were really amazing too, and I equally love them as well.

SirKazuma and Anthus both got extremely well designed classic overworlds that look very detailed for the classic tileset. In the end I had to vote for Anthus because of how gorgerous his map is. There are so many different unique-looking areas and there is so many things done here I would've never thought of. Great job everyone!

This is cool, I didn't know there would be a MotY lol. These are all pretty nice maps. I really like SirKazuma's wintery scene, and mao10's dungeon is pretty cool too. I can't put my finger on a specific theme or motif, so, it reminds me of a AlttP dungeon in that regard. Shane's map is also nice, and he gets points for being the only non-classic map :P No but seriously, I like everyone's map. Had I not entered, I would have gone with Kazuma, most likely. :)

1. Anthus (MotM 50) (12 votes [42.86%])
6. SirKazuma (t-MotM 52) (4 votes [14.29%])
8. mao10 (MotM 47) (2 votes [7.14%])
12 Shane (MotM 54) (10 votes [35.71%])

Anthus defends against a near-upset by Shane and moves on to the Map of the Year Finals. Congratulations! :)
