With a new year comes a new opportunity to reflect on the past. Naturally, it's time to take a look back at 2012's maps and decide which is qualified to be Map of the Year!

3. Sheik (MotM 32)
Lanayru Bay.
6. Dragonite (MotM 28)
Old map is old.
7. Jared (MotM 35)
Hylian Falls.

The first round will run until January 15. The winners of the Sword and Shield brackets will face off head-to head from January 16 to the end of the month and the winner of that match will be crowned champion!

Taking Sheik on this one. Seems the best of the four. Rambly's is good, Jared's is good but suffers from a garish palette, and Dragonite's is fine.

Kinda weird having this map here, considering it's basically a earlier version of the map in the other MoTY.

The Shield Bracket's winner is Sheik! He will face off against Tingle (a.k.a Dragonite) in the Map of the Year 2012 finals.
