I dunno if it's just me but Mario and his animations looks incredibly artificial, like he's an amiibo made of plastic.

"Hey, you mess with Mario, you mess with New Donk!"
Man, I am so stoked, though. It looks SO GOOD. And goddamn Bowser looks sharp. I, for one, cannot wait for the Pimp Bowser amiibo.

I think that'd be the first amiibo I'd ever buy if they made that.

I really hope this game presents a good challenge. Something about what we've seen kinda points to that being the case. Not sure what. Maybe it's the scope of everything. Either way, I hope it isn't a mindless walk in the park like a lot of recent Mario's.

But seriously, even though I myself think the city looks amazing, I can see why some aren't impressed by it. Alternatively, the designs for the rest of the levels look absolutely beautiful. What's more interesting to me is the notable lack of a generic world one type area, every area shown so far appears to be entirely unique.
Super Mario 3D World is currently my favorite Mario game, I wonder if this game can do even better.

The screenshots involving the city that I've seen, remind me of the dinosaur city in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Considering that Mario and Bowser attack with their hats akin to Robert E. O. Speedwagon in Season 1, this game is now Mario's Bizarre Adventure.

Meh, I'll wait to see if they intoduce some new version of SMM. I would enjoy watching videos of this, but porbably not playing it. I have never enjoyed a 3D Mario title, as a player.
Still, it's an interesting setting. I wonder if DK and Pauline are going to be in it.

If it plays like SM64/Sunshine rather than Galaxy (didn't care for 1, didn't play 2) then it should be fun. I never felt like Sunshine wasn't SM64 2 personally, yeah he has a water device and it's far from Peach's homeland, but that's nitpicking.

The hat is cool cause it reminds me a bit of fludd. I suspect you'll be able to get various caps at that "crazy cap" store a la the caps in SM64.

Eh, you beat me too it TS. Anyway, I can't believe we have to wait almost a year for this. They couldn't have told us about SMO in the summer that so we didn't have to wait as long?

I was hoping for this joke to surface. The internet didn't let me down.
It's too bad the video wasn't longer though because that song is great.

So there's apparently some video that was released in Japan that had like a minute of gameplay in the city. It's very underwhelming, since they don't really do anything at all, but thought I'd show it off for those interested anyway.

So something that I've been noticing since the trailer: Is it just me or is mario even more expressive than usual? Sure, he does some funny things in the other games, but this time around, Mario seems to react a lot more to things, which seems neat.
