There are hundreds of dead pixels on my LCD monitor, probably caused by recent impact. Every time I revisit my computer, the chunks are larger. And more importantly, are they repairable?

Repair costs for an LCD panel are larger than buying a new monitor.

Sounds like your monitor is toast.

Dead pixels do not get larger, they are a fixed size. (One pixel), However the surrounding pixels can get damaged as well. LCD repair is more costly than a new LCD.

Meh. The monitor is toast. It's basically bleeding from the impact. My dad is pretty mad though.

And you can actually send the DS lite to Nintendo as they have a no dead pixel warranty. As long as that dead pixel wasn't caused by impact, you're good.

I won't be able to do much with ZC once it gets bad enough. I might have to sell my 'cube though. (I've got a Wii, so it doesn't really matter; It'd just be nice to have some wireless controllers so I don't have to sit on the floor to play 'cube games)

it depends.
It can be any colour, as long as it's "dead" or "stuck" icon_wink.gif
But, they are usually dark color, like black.

Dead pixeals don't ALWAYS spread. But if you notice that a "dead spot" is growing, get your wallet out.

I got this on a Palm Pilot I owned one time. Basically, the liquid part just keeps flowing and killing off pixels. Pretty soon, it became a paperweight.

Better get my dad to buy a good yet cheap one I found. It takes 1-2 weeks to ship in, and that's about how long it will be until too much of the screen dies.
