If you are saying I could be gay, that's not possible.

If you are brought up "straight" you will stay "straight"

Comix

No, he's not saying you could be gay icon_blah.gif. If you were gay you probably woudn't have a girlfriend.

Also, Comix, he was pointing out the fact he didn't decide to be gay. He never made that choice.

EDIT: I also wanted to say... This topic turned from a Teen Sex topic to a Homosexuality topic really, really fast icon_xd.gif.

No. Just no.

I was brought up "straight". My parents were bringing me up to be a heterosexual person, apparently, I was not. I don't understand how someone can not understand being born gay. It just flies over my head. Why don't you understand that people would NOT CHOOSE TO BE GAY.

GOOD GOD! This is why I left this whole site! When will people learn that you can't prove anything about topics science isn't even sure about yet? Just let everyone hold their own views, don't be bigots, and believe what you believe with an open mind. This is so fricken off topic it doesn't even look like the old topic. Stop bringing up debates that noone can make any ground in. It's so retarded!

Phew! ok, I'm glad I got that out. I'll be going into upbeat mode now! icon_biggrin.gif

It's not our fault you left? Um, sorry?

I'm sorry, but I refuse to stand here and listen to someone try and tell me I chose to be this way. It's a load of bull****. Say whatever you will, but I just won't. We're not holding you back from leaving if you really can't stand it this much.

I would've stayed clear out of the subject, but I get really defensive about my SEXUALITY which is a big part of who I am. Sorry.

Maybe I'm being too harsh, but when it comes to the subject of sex, I'm going to be very open about having it and the fact that I beleive it's a very beautiful thing, its fine if people think you can't have sex until your married, just don't shove it down other's throats. I'm so sorry I do this, but when it comes to the topic of homosexuality, I'm also going to be really big on that.

I just get really defensive.

Ahem, on-topic:

I've always believed in having sex for love, not pleasure, and saving it for someone who you truly love. Therefore, I oppose teen sex, unless they absolutely are sure that they want to actually be with them for the rest of their lives. Because of people not making a commitment when they have sex, they're not even making love anymore. It's just... sex, nothing special.

I don't get why people try to prevent teen pregnancies by encouraging the use of condoms. If you don't want to run the risk of getting someone pregnant, here's an idea: Don't have sex. I can understand maybe, at an older age, trying to prevent getting pregnant, though.

And remember: If you want pleasure, do it yourself.

Ben, you make good points, but not everyone has the discipline that you do about not having sex. The idea behind supporting condum use, is that if they are afraid of buying condoms because they're not supposed to have sex, then they are at higher risk if they're going to do it anyway. I'm sure you already knew this, but i just thought I'd point out my view.

Personally I don't advocate teen sex. I don't know about total abstinence before marrige, even if that's what I feel I should adhere to. People have the rights to make their own descisions on that kind of thing.

Okay, I'm kind of going to drift back to the homosexual discussion side of this topic for a second.

I don't want to add fuel to a big debate or anything, but I do want to throw in my two cents about this. As a Christian, it should be pretty obvious to everyone that I totally disagree with the homosexual lifestyle. But I do not hate homosexuals at all. I don't see why people think that just because someone doesn't agree with something somebody does...that automatically means they "hate" them. Anybody who hates somebody just because they live a differen't lifestyle is sick in the head. I have a friend who sleeps and has sex with just about every girl he meets. I may not agree with the way he is living...but he's still my good friend.

I see homosexuality as a sin...but there is NOBODY who is without sin. I am just as big a sinner as anybody else...nobody is perfect. I believe that the only way to heaven is through faith in Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can forgive people's sins and wash them away.

Now, before any atheists or satanists attack me for saying this...I am just stating my beliefs. I am not trying to force you or even convince you to believe what I do, so you don't have to fire back at me with how you think my beliefs are ridiculous. I already know you don't agree with me...so there is no reason for you to try and remind me.

Lol. You are right, for the most part. I don't even know how/why I got myself involved in this topic icon_sweat.gif. I think it was to post about Teen Sex icon_blah.gif.

Also, I think I can leave knowing I didn't post anything biased, or anything that hasn't been proved yet icon_heh.gif. Later guys icon_wink.gif. Have fun killing eachother icon_biggrin.gif (haha... it's a joke >.>).

EDIT: I just read Hero_of_Hyrule's post, and I agree with everything besides him saying homosexuality is a sin... I have no idea on that icon_shrug.gif, but I doubt it is icon_blink.gif... enough of this... *runs and hides icon_heh.gif*

First off, there are homosexual non-human animals.

"Male gorillas court and couple with each other, grizzly bear families have two mothers, male swans form pair-bonds with one another and female long-eared hedgehogs have oral sex. In this book homosexual behaviour is documented in over 450 species of animals.

In the dimly lit undergrowth of a Central American rain forest, jewel-like male hummingbirds flit through the vegetation, pausing briefly to mate now with a male, now with a female. A whale glides through the dark and icy waters of the Arctic [...] her fins and tail caressing another female. Drifting off to sleep, two male monkeys lie gently in each other's arms [in] the ancient jungles of Asia. [...] In a protected New Zealand inlet, a pair of female gulls - mated for life - tend their chicks together. Tiny midges swarm above a bleak tundra of Northern Europe, a whirlwind of mating activity, as males couple with each other in midair. Circling and prancing around her partner, a female antelope courts another female in an ageless, elegant ritual staged on the African Savanna. [...]

The world is, indeed, teeming with homosexual, bisexual and transgendered creatures of every stripe and feather.

More than 130 different bird species worldwide are literally queer.

Species include primates, marine mammals, hoofed mammals, carnivores, marsupials, rodents and insectivores, waterfowl & other aquatic birds, wading birds, shore birds, perching birds and Songbirds and other birds, on every continent and ocean. All observed in the wild, not including any zoo observations.
"

~"Biological Exuberance" by Bruce Bagemihl, PhD

And for the sake of clarity: I am bisexual.
--

Well, think about it this way.. We encourage teenagers to follow the rules, yet many rebel and do not follow them? So if we encourage sex.. think about that. Sure, many will do it.. But those people will be using condoms. And if a teenage girl becomes pregnant and does not have enough money for the baby? Abortion. It's harsh, it's cruel.. But it works. Your lords in your bibles didn't care about killing millions.. because it worked. Wrong or right, masturbation, abortion, and a better sexual educational system will work. That is, unless you want more rednecks who don't know which "hole" to put "it" in.

I completely agree with Hero_of_Hyrule on this topic.

Most animals "hump" each other when they are in heat some are really gay though but, dogs, rabbits, and cows all just naturally do it when in heat. But the cats I got a cat that licks my moms cats nuts and attacks my older brothers female cat.he only male animal I actually seen doing that is my neighbors dog who humbed a female cat before but other than that he is dedicated to my dog who attacks him. But males, humans or animals should be agressive and fight things over.

Um, debating an issue that science can't prove? READ THIS. And I mean no disrespect to anyone, or their beliefs, but how is ANY church in the position to judge the sexual preferences of ANYONE? Has ANYONE seen the news in the past year? 2 years? 10 years? What I'm trying to say is that being homosexual should be the "least" of your concerns for not getting into Heaven. A gay man and a murderer on equal ground for redemption? I think not.

I agree with you Ben... for the most part. You should save it for whom you love, but it is still up to you to be mature enough to decide who you love, and if your ready, not the government... They can't understand our minds becuase they are not us. They once were, but thatwas about 20-30 years ago...

apoetalone: The problem with the whole gay gene thing is that homosexuality has proven not to be hereditary. I'm not saying that that proves anything either way, but it shows that it can't be because of a gene. I have a friend who's father was gay, and he's the most heterosexual person I know.

Enough.

This topic has grossly deviated from the original post. Also, there has been way too much trolling and near flaming. This topic is now closed.
