Well, when I started my project, I had a very old version of the Pure tileset. so I put it in my game. I've designed two large dungeeons, and a whole worldmap, but that isn't my problem.

My problem comes when I download the nice new tileset, and discover that I can't just switch the tileset without having to re-edit every single map

But anyhow... What's your advice on this? Start the quest from scratch with the new tileset, or continue as I'm going and use the new one in another project?

You can import tiles from the newer tileset into the older one but the problem is, is that will take a lot of time. But if you want those tiles than you should do that.
