What are the major differences between a Cave and BS Overworld?

Is there any differences? I haven't noticed any.

Caves use a dungeon map rather than the triforce (I think).

Aah, yeah. That stinks. I guess I'm stuck using the BS OW type for my outdoor areas.
My problem with the BS OW is that there's no way to hide the grid on the mini map. Every screen is automatically colored in; you can't select the screens like in a dungeon.
...Or IS there a way to hide the grid?

Custom subscreens I think can do it. But if your not on a beta then you might be screwed.

Make the mini map you're using have the same color as the grid system I suppose...

Can't you set before map and after map images in the dmap window?

yeah, just set the 'before map' box to a map without a grid.

depending on which version you're using, you can switch the DMap's shown subscreens. Pretty handy, to say the least.
And the grid wouldn't be part of the map graphic, they're little boxes that appear over the map graphic.
