Make Abei appear in the DoR Tileset

I'm using the DoR Tileset
Here's the problem.
I chose Abei in a cave with the Sword and when I tested it out, he's not there, but the message he was supposed to say is there. What am I doing wrong?

Abei is not in the DoR set. Radien made it that way so that people could choose guy "Abei" to place on the screen, but there'd be nobody there. Instead, the questmaker can put whatever person he wants in his place.

If you want Abei there, scroll through the combos until you find all of the sprites. Find the Abei sprite and place him where you'd like, on a different screen, then layer him onto that one. icon_wink.gif

And if you want him to disappear like the normal Guys do, set a Flag 16 on that layer and Secret Combo to a blank tile, and set screen flags Enemies->Secret and No Secret Sounds on.

If you want him to flicker and vanish like the Guys do, you can do this, but only with version 2.11b ('cause those versions support Layer Combo Cycling). Set the Secret Combo to a tile that's of the same sprite character only he flickers. Make sure that combo uses up like 20 or so frames, set THAT combo to cycle to a blank one.

Lotta tricks possible with ZC, lemme tell you... icon_wink.gif

However, the problem is that Abei will be the only person who can appear on the screen if you layer him on there. I mean, you can still do others, but it won't look right. Also, guys, he's using Cave/Item rooms. Just copy an old man sprite you want to use, and copy it next to Ama's sprite, and make sure it's colored right in Cset 8.
