I posted this over at AGN a while ago cause I was getting a little bit worried about it for my quest, and I had a couple replies, but from what people said I don't think you'll get restricted by running out of strings while making a quest.

Actually, I think with the ability to now how walking talking NPCs(thanks to a script at AGN which is now being advertised here) I'm afraid I'll run out much much quicker.
I might just scratch the (assumed)512 1024 string limit (I broke 524 strings )

I don't know what the limit is, but for HoD I have 1400+ strings. So I know it goes at least that high.

That probably won't be enough for me... When somebody will know exact amount, plase tell me. I hope there's no limit. However, I can't recall anything in ZC that has no limit... Tiles, Combos, DMaps, level numbers, maps...

I think it's determined by the total amount of internal buffer space the strings take up (similar to ZScript's buffer system) rather than a set string number.

Shoelace, did you say 1400!? DANG, and I thought I was doing good with 500... (Heehee, the original Molka only had like 200 something. ) Yeah, I was worried about running out too, but Shoelace restored the holy faith in the brotha'.

Yeah... I have about fifty strings for the intro alone... so it's very comforting that some things in this world are, in fact, as they whould be.
