Just as the name implies! What was your favorite Water Temple in the Zelda series?

 

My personal favorite is ALBW's Water Temple.

Ancient Cistern.

Great Bay Temple, easy. As much as I don't think Majora's Mask is that good a game, that is the best level in the game by a mile and the best water temple in the series, barely edging out Ancient Cistern.

I personally LOVED the Ancient Cistern. Absolutely fantastic dungeon if you ask me.

Great Bay Temple. Obvious choice!

Ancient Cistern. Had one of the most original ideas in Zelda giving you a light and dark side to the dungeon, also dem Cursed Bokoblins tho.

Tower of the Gods should count in my opinion, so that's what I'm going with.

I don't think we've had a bad Water Temple.

 

LttP Swamp Palace, Angler's Tunnel, Water Temple, Great Bay Temple, Lakebed Temple, Cistern, LbW Swamp Palace, Oracle Jabu Jabu are all amazing dungeons.

 

I think my favorite goes to Great Bay who barely edges out the rest of the competiton, but I honestly like them all.

I can't quite remember the name of the dungeon itself, but the water-based temple from Phantom Hourglass. Had an awesome spin on Gleeok as a boss as well.

Mermaid's Cave on Oracle of Ages.  I liked the concept of doing things in the past dungeon to affect the future dungeon.  I also like the Mermaid Suit, even if the sudden change in swimming mechanics took some getting used to.

Great Bay Temple. This is probably the only Water Temple in Zelda where I actually had fun playing (yes even facing Gyorg was fun lol).

 

As for non-Zelda games, I would say FFX's temples. After all, a majority of all of FFX's dungeons are water based .

In all seriousness, I'm torn between Great Bay Temple and Ancient Cistern. GBT was my second favorite dungeon in the series before SS came along, but AC is really, really great, in theme, design, and the way the dungeon follows a story. I think I might have to learn towards AC, but I dunno, both are really great.

I personally really liked LTTP's Swamp Palace. It's rather fun for me. I haven't actually played Skyward Sword because I don't have a Wii, but Ancient Cistern looks rather fun too. Also, I didn't think the Water Temple was that bad - I had some fun with it. You can shoot me now.
