Linux users can use wine, mac can use intel cpu and bootcamp. i do not like exe file idea though.

Exactly why don't you like the idea? You didn't even bother to explain yourself more clearly so people could actually consider your opinion. I can't picture anything negative that could come from the ZC developers making this. It could actually help advertise ZC around the internet more since most people don't play ZC quest because they can't get it to work, or don't want to download the whole program just to play a quest they are interested in. Its basically the same issue RPG Maker had.

i would rather download a 7mb program and then download quests seperatly then to download the same code over and over with the only thing different in each package being the quest. all it would do is increase a quest from 1mb~ to about 7mb+ >.<

Well if you read through every post, you would have known that the .exe file would be optional to those who don't have ZC installed in their computer. Seeing has you already know how to load up a quest, you wouldn't need to download the .exe file.

How about this: When sending it to friends, just rename your quest to "1st.qst" and set the quest number to 1. Delete everything except the player and your quest, and I think you're set.

If you really need it in a single EXE for download, just use an installer that installs an icon to the desktop.
Also, renaming a custom quest to 1st.qst does work, but the ending attempts to start it over with a 2nd quest, bugging it out.

Also, just for kicks, a list of required files for zelda-w.exe to run:
1st.qst (these 3 will run as long)
2nd.qst (as there are 3 files named)
3rd.qst (1st.qst, 2nd.qst, 3rd.qst)
fonts.dat
zelda.dat
sfx.dat
alleg42_crt.dll (optional if installed to system32, not recommended to install there though)
qst.dat (no idea what this does, looks important though)
zelda-w.exe (duh)
