after seeing this topic I thought of making a Thread to get ZC to work with Vista

Ok so here it gose

You have just found ZC and got Vista you download 2.10 and find it dose not work well it dosen't work with VISTA full stop.

Ok so to get a Version of ZC to run on Windows Vista download one of the newest builds from http://www.shardstorm.com/ this if the officale ZC Alpha Builds

if you still have problams run ZCL (package with the builds) and that should get it to open.

Still having problams well there isn't relly much else you can do

Thanks for looking and i hope you get ZC to work with Vista

(this topic is brought to you by a Vista owning person and regulaer ZC user (on vista))
I think a topic this useful should be pinned as all pc now in days are being pacaged with Vista

I heard that there is a trick to run ZC in 2.10 on Vista and it is to pick the option Run as adminastore from a right click menu. But I can not confirme this officaly

I can't see why people have problems with this... it works perfectly at my computer... along with al my friends... all running Vista Ultimate.

I'm using Vista Home Premium, and 2.5 alphas work fine for me. I don't even have to use the launcher anymore. But good job making this thread, Billy. Now we won't have ten million threads with people having this problem. This should get pinned.

Yeah but you are running the builds try and run 2.10 (not .1 or .2 but the 2.10.0) and see if that works becasue when i use it on my own Vista it dosn't

(luckly i still have a XP computer)

There must be something you were doing wrong, because it runs perfectly for me without any tweaking. P:

Maybe the Vista version makes the difference?
Everyone who seems to be having trouble is using Vista Home Premium, not Ultimate. Maybe 2.10 and below ae only compatible with Ultimate.
I use 2.5 with Home Premium, and that works fine for me.
