Yeah... so... today's the day when our founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, which separated us from Great Britain and started the Revolutionary War. Which then turned into Marylin Manson a ways down the road. icon_razz.gif Anyway, God bless, and have a happy 4th.

Actually, the Declaration wasn't signed until AFTER the war. It was the ghost governments of each state tat caused the war.

Anyway, I've got a ton of fireworks for my kids to see. So, it'll be interesting to say the least.

Nope. The Constitution was signed and ratified afterwards, but the Declaration was signed before the war. Or, at least, in the VERY early stages. Lexington and Concord occured in April (I think) of 1776, and the Declaration was signed on July 4th (duh) of that same year.

EDIT: Put 1774 instead of '76. icon_sweat.gif

Don't you mean 1776 for the Declaration of Independence signing? icon_wink.gif

There have been various fireworks going off outside for the past week or so... Thank goodness they'll all be done by tomorrow... At least, until the same date next year. icon_confused.gif

Yay America, though!

I got some M-80s for today and had some fun scaring the piss out of people with them. Then I went to my dad's house to eat dinner, and to find out he's gonna help me get a new car (like, brand new). That was pretty fun to find out today.

Due to all the rain, I was unable to hook a gaming system (I was planning on playing Guitar Hero 2) outside and watch fireworks while I played. Oh, well. Today was good.
