It's a big shame, but to be expected unfortunately. What sucks more is I just got Pokemon White 2 and the internet doesn't work in my house for DS systems apparently. I'll probably be doing more on Pokemon Y in the end, but would still kinda like to have that option in the future if my internet would stop sucking.

(Also another huge shame these cool Move Tutors didn't make their way to XY.)

it's pretty sucky, Team17 manage to operate a server for Worms: Armageddon, Worms 2, Worms World Party for well over 10 years (Still working fine to this day). Admittedly those games just need a match making service and nothing else.

Well. I guess if nintendo has to pull the plug then pull it :/

Maybe they should do a poll to see what online systems should be left in?

Well they didn't put list for Call of Duty so that mean Call of Duty is safe.

I don't really care, I never got no use out of the online crap for any of Nintendo's games.

Third-party servers are probably exempt, I imagine.

I would imagine that is true since Nintendo ignores the existence of third party games anyway.

Regardless of the shut down, the Dolphin emulator supports online multiplayer now and has been demonstrated in Monster Hunter if I remember correctly.

Well I hope they didn't remove the wifi online on emulator.  If they force them to do it, then we are trap.  So I am hoping that they are not forcing them to turn it off online on emulator.   If not, then emulator are saver.

Doesn't the WiFi on the Dolphin emulator still use the Nintendo WiFi connection as a HUB?  I would think so, since you'd have to reverse engineer the packets being sent back and forth from Nintendo's servers so the program could understand what to emulate.

I don't think it does, If I'm right it does a connection without Nintendo WiFi.

Is that online multiplayer as in splitscreen over LAN or actual online multiplayer?

Well, I guess that sucks... I'm sure people will find a way to play online without Nintendo WiFi.
