I'm currently posting from work, as I'm in the back doing manager crap.. My connection is 42.6 Kbps..

Once upon a time, I'd of thought this was fast.

Now, I just pity any of you poor souls that still have to use it.

I really don't mind it too much either, truth be told. I seriously don't. icon_razz.gif

I use dail-up... which isn't so bad.

IT'S AMERICA ONLINE!

If you can't get some sort of broadband, I feel incredibly sorry for you. But if you can, get it - a 1.5MBps cable connection was CHEAPER than dial-up around here.

AOL is more expensive than many better services,
but I'm not the one paying so I have no choice.

I have SBC Yahoo Dial-Up
icon_smile.gif

Works just fine for me. I prefer it because if we had a high speed connection I would be tempted to download junk and slow the computer down.

I'm proudly a 24.4K dialup user who has to spend an hour on the road just to go anywhere (of substance) and come back! icon_biggrin.gif

I have a dial-up connection. I don't care about surfing the web at all. I could be going slower, for all I care. All I want is to play some of my games online. icon_unsettled.gif

DSL isn't supported out where I live, and I'ld have to run the Cable wire 1000 feet or so to the house (the house is already setup for cable, but the line doesn't come to the house). I would pay for it if I could get it. icon_shrug.gif

*stands up* I use fiber optic cables, which are capable of retrieving files from my ISPs file server upwards of 20MBps. Of course local slowness prevents me from getting that fast. It's such a slow connection. icon_frown.gif icon_xd.gif

After getting DSL, I could never return to a dialup modem.
