Yeah, this is what I want to know what you guys think, before I start working on it. So anyways, what graphic style should we use? After all, there are multiple graphic styles even on the NES. LoZ1? Link's Awakening? It mainly boils down to what color structure is used (3 unique colors for each character, like Z1, or whether one is always taken up by black and white/yellow, like LA, or two unique colors and black, like SMB3, Mega Man, and Kirby) and how it is outlined (Z1 being no outlines, Koten being partial outlines, and LA being outlined). I personally feel like three unique colors and outlines is best (Combining Z1 and LTTP/LA), but I'd like to know what the community thinks.
Which graphics style would be best for the open-source NES tileset?

Honestly, anything that isn't covered yet is probably fine, as long as it looks good. I believe Cukeman was also making a kind of 'hand-drawn'/parchmenty one, so as long as it's not a rehash of that, (or Koten, since we can use that as well) it would be usable.
Basically, make something that looks good, and people will use it.
That said, I am partial like low-bit graphics, so 3-colour+outline would be good. I mean, it's not technically NES-compatible, but that doesn't matter that much, tbh. I think how it actually looks is probably more important.
