I think the image speaks for itself. Is there a way to duplicate a system like this, where you solve the puzzle by walking in a path like so, making sure not to cross your path again, and if you mess up, you have to leave the room and reenter to try again. I also want it to simply trigger the secret in the room instead of using it as a must-solve to continue on. I'll most likely make those required to solve if you want to get a key however.
Floor puzzle script!

Wow, this looks like it would be an awesome script once released. But, seeing as I know very little of scripting, I wouldn't understand how to do it. Perhaps it would hide link, increase his walking speed, mark the tiles he walks on and exits the script if he touches somewhere he's already been? And then triggers the secret if you cover all open spaces?

It's also been done with scripts, and probably a damned sight better
Don't quote me on that though cause I haven't actually tried it =P

Definitely go the script route, even if that old method I provided works.
My old method requires some setup time for each instance of the puzzle and it is very limited (speeding through puzzles, required switch, and such). It doesn't really work like the OoA/OoS puzzles should work.

Just curious, but has anyone tried any of Hero's scripts yet? They look pretty good to me. I think the deterrant for most people is how complicated they seem at first due to all the variables.

I haven't, yet. But that is because I have yet to even begin making a dungeon. I will be trying it however, and I will report to you how it goes when I do. Okay Gleeok?
