Okay, I want a Fairy partner. But, I don't want Link to have it in the beginning. I want him to get it a short while later.
Then, I want the fairy to disappear. Then, at the end of the game, i want it to come back and stay with Link for the rest of the game.

Is this possible?

There is a script that does all that you want, and I think it's here in the database. Research that script and you should find it satisfying (if you can get it to work).

Edit: Found it!

Did you write "import std.zh" at the top of your script?

did you specify the FFC (free form combo) it uses?

also i think it has to do with the fact that you need a global script combined with it. it said that in the script page.

Just to know where you are... what have you tried so far? Do you have the global script compiled? Do you have the item specified and obtained?

I haven't really tried doing anything. Yes, I have it compiled.
I have to obtain the fairy?

Yes, you must have the fairy item for the partner fairy to appear.

What's the item? And yeah, the script still won't compile correctly.

The item should specified at the top of the script. And I thought you had it compiled already?
