Now that's awesome! I'll take it.

Thanks a lot!

Okay, I'm modifying Cset 5 to allow for use of the DoR Lava so you can still use SD3 grass without funky red colors.

Now how do you change CSet 5?? It's not usually level-specific.

Just import it into the 5th slot in the level palette. The palettes have numbers 2-4 in the first four lines. Just try to import it into any cset that is empty and start deleting them 1 by 1 and when cset 5 goes blank, then you've found it. I don't understand it myself sadly.

I loaded it to all of the remaining slots and even tried to set up palette cycling for CSet 5. That didn't work.

I guess you aren't able to change the cset 5 level palette without messing with the main palette. Just import it into cset 9. I tested that one and it works. In the level palettes, cset 9 is right below cset 4. Just import it there and you should be able to use it. icon_smile.gif

Many of the default enemies use CSet 9, unfortunately. I don't want to mess them up for this.

Well, I could sacrifice cset 3 like DoR does and amke it so you use cset 2 for sd3 grass and trees.

I'm not sure what other uses CSet 2 has, so sure.

polluted water?

Here's my two cents on the water... could never get the ground to look right. This is much harder than it looks. Anyway, maybe you'll like it

I'm going to go ahead and say that is one of the worst palettes I have ever seen... icon_sorry.gif

While the water does look polluted, the ground doesn't look right at all. I know it's harder than it looks, which is why I asked for help. I'm already happy with Sepulcher's palette, but thanks for trying anyway.

It just takes some practice. icon_smile.gif Don't worry, if you're looking to practice making palettes I'd suggest using IDraw or Graphics Gale. I prefer graphics gale to be honest. I don't recommend using ZQuest's built in palette editor. The reason is because you can't see what the colors you are messing with are doing to the screen until you exit out of the palette editor and go back to the screen. icon_unsettled.gif

Holy balls, this would make a perfect LttP style dark world palette.
