Over the last two months or so I've been going on a bit of a nostalgia trip by playing some old games I used to play as a kid. The one series I've played the most was Bust-a-Move/Puzzle Bobble, a simple puzzle game where you have to clear boards of bubbles by grouping them up in 3s or more to pop them. It was great fun going back to these older games (with Puyo Puyo on the side lol) and I figured, hey why don't I try to speedrun it? So I did, and I speedran the 2nd game of the classic series. Here's my first completed speedrun of the game:
Looking back, there's definitely a lot of room for improvement. I made two critical mistakes by choosing the wrong stage midway through (letter K instead of L) and I had an accidental death, but hey it still got me onto 6th place of the leaderboard (granted there's only 10 other people that did this, but still a nice accomplishment for me I'd say). I'll probably be doing more runs of this game to try and get myself into the top 3 or so, and I'll give the 4th game a try too since that was another childhood classic for me.
