People complaining about the graphics? That's dumb, in my opinion. I think the new Zelda game's graphics look really great!

Well I guess cause everyone else is saying what they think, I should too..
When I first saw the trailer, like 5 minutes ago, I wasn't that pleased with the graphics. Really all it was a mix of Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and Wind Waker. I did really want that all to go together...then it did...and didn't look to promising. Now that was just a little bit ago, but now, I see how everyone is loving it. First of all, the detail, I mean really, at first I didn't see that detail, then I watched it a couple times more, and WOW!!! Also, the vast overworld, it's just beautiful, and the fact that it's an actual full overworld, where we can explore pretty much every part of it...Now that's adventure right there. And don't get me started on Link's look, AMAZING. I'm not gay or anything, but he does look a lot more attractive. Other than that, I can't wait too see how the new items will work out too, and maybe some new ideas of the dungeons!

It's be nice to find that this was a sequel to ZII; given that it apparently (and finally) takes place later in the timeline; instead of being another prequel. (Then again, it could also take place in the pre-Demise era, or in another world, entirely.).
Not my cuppa, being 3D and all, but I look forward to a TeamUDF LP of it, as it's cinematic, and I appreciate the anime-inspired art style, which is likely in flux.

So looking at Zelda U's overworld made me think of this:

The only thing that scares me is that it may suffer from the same problems as Oblivion: a really beautiful landscape that looks identical in every location.
It looks really nice and I want to explore it, but I am still rather concerned when I look at that picture of Hyrule (?) Field.
I'm thinking the same thing. There is a wide open space, but no boundaries to establish where it ends. Most people will initially think this is a good thing, but if this is the case, then it might suffer from "Large Zelda Overworld Syndrome" (big overworld with no incentive to explore it).

So Aonuma teased a thing.
http://venturebeat.c...-wii-u-trailer/
This can mean one of four things:
1. We have a new protagonist.
2. We just haven't seen Link yet.
3. Aonuma's teasing us.
4. peanuts

Or character customization.
I would classify that under #4 personally.
er
I suppose that's also one I didn't consider. I don't necessarily see it happening myself but I'd welcome it. Though I don't see why that would make him be not Link, since Link is supposed to be an extension of the player in a sense, so customizable Link would just lend to that a little more. But not necessarily.
Damn it Aonuma, we didn't need more anticipation. D:

Anything that tries to break the mold has the potential to go either way. I remain very optimistic overall, though. I'm putting my trust in Nintendo to make this game great, regardless of the differences from previous titles.

Part of me has to ask what difference it makes. Link isn't a character so much as an archetype, and if this new person looks, sounds, and acts like Link, does it matter if he officially goes by a different name? Heck, Hyrule Historia said the heroes aren't all actually named Link, so... I really don't see why it's a big deal.
New Official Name: Bob
Nah, I'm just joking about, I agree with what you're saying.
