Thanx linktopower for this nice quest. Some small bugs here and there but playable, for example, you can´t use the whistle for warping. I would recommend players to make a copy of the save file everytime when saving. I can´t find level 8 ! - some tips would be appreciated

Nevermind, found it, now have beaten the quest. A couple of hours fun !

I downloaded it this morning I can find test 2 but not test 1 where is it? I think its a pretty good quest so far.

From the tree trunk where you started. Go up, left , then down.

EDIT: Also DO NOT use that warp tile in the room that in go in after beating the boss in Test #2 level. It does take you to the entrance but Link disappears and is nowhere to be found. You have to F6.

No it doesn't. Did you get the wand? Use the wand in front of the last boss and the blocks will disappear.

EDIT: DO NOT save in the Final Test level (which you could call test#3). When I started again I was in a room in the level but Link wasn't anywhere to be found. I didn't save a game file. So now I have to start over.



EDIT: Don't burn the bush here. It does become stairs and you can go down it is a rupees shop. When you come out you end up on the rocks Stuck!. The bush become a nice looking gray square. And if you didn't get the rupees when you went in you can't get them anymore. The gray square doesn't burn.

It´s the original LOZ overworld in dark, the levels are different and in different places, also the overworld enemies are changed and harder. There is included some bonus dungeons to. The quest starts with 3 test dungeons before the real game.

At far west. You have to go through an east-west-maze. DO NOT save in the test dungeon, it can make you stuck there

I was able to complete the quest. Here are some notes from my travels.

The hammer already? The hammer has the power of the magic sword. Even if it is slower, it's still four times stronger than the current sword in play. The hammer sure does make the tests awfully easy.
Not a whole lot of money in the game. Good idea. Makes the items much more valuable.
Start the game with the huge wallet? Then pick up the same huge wallet later in the game? This has to be a mistake.
Several of the early levels I start out with the boss key already. This proved vital since it meant I didn't have to beat Gohma in one of the levels and was able to obtain the treasures of that level without beating it.
Speaking of treasures, I was able to obtain the red ring without buying the blue ring.
I was also able to obtain the crossbow without buying the bow!
I didn't buy the wooden arrow either.
Did buy the mirror shield without buying any magic shields. (money is really tight in this game... had to cut corners)
Bought the blue note, but where's the water of life? Never found any.
Very nice effect on the teleporters!
Can't use the whistle in this game... it crashes the whole game.
Nice to see Aquatamus used so often.
No bubbles? I don't ever remember seeing any bubbles in this quest.
Only found two magic containers and no 1/2 magic. Rendered the two crystals I got useless.

Awfully quick battle with Ganon. I wasn't expecting to face him so quickly.
So that's my notes. I hope you find them most productive.

Okay i made error with the cheat code. it's not 123. it's ben
plus the password is ben as well
i'm working on LINK'S QUEST dx .right Now so it won't be long now it's almost done just give me two more weeks and it'll be done
