Yes, they are animated on Opera. Netscape doesn't have the ability to identify itself as IE does it?

I just had a smilie idea. While I hope this doesn't become a smiley suggestion topic (And it might... ), I just had this one pop into my head after taking another glance at the clap smiley. How about the angry smilie, with the right hand as it is (from the smiley's view ), bu it's left hand as a fist? This could be a different type of angry smilie... angry face, but punchin his hand into his palm as in, "I'm going to beat you down."

Here is an example of how I'd use it.

EDIT: Okay... I dunno what the problem is with that raspberry smilie along with an addition sign and an arrow (above the quote). I see no sign of it when editing, so I have no clue. It's like the time when a post of mine really effed up, and plith noticed it... which was not too long ago.

All I can see is that my post is jacked up.

"Riled" would be fun. If you want one even more angry than that, I've got one that's red in the face with anger and spewing a stream of "@#%$%!!!" ...the smiley is called "cussing."

Not really here to make suggestions, though.

I like the whistle smiley we have just fine. Matt's is slightly different, but I'm not sure when I'd use it. And link3505 is right... it looks like Birdo.
