First? Gamefaqs. I needed to find X in Y game. Searching for these led me to learn about ROMs. ROMs led me to learn about Zelda Classic, which I first saw through PureZC. And well.. PureZC got me into furry fandom.

Blame ShadowTiger.

First forum: GameFaqs. I helped people with FFVII. I registered as DarkLink813 ... lawl.

Uh, After that, my dad downloaded ZC one day, I tried it, but he said it was lame because it was just Z1. Then one day I was googling and I found PureZC. I registered, and told my dad. He was so impressed about the editor, and now look at me, a ZC Dev. icon_razz.gif

Cheat codes... Gamefaqs... then later I found out about roms. Then I didn't use the internet as much once I was loaded with roms.

When I got internet for my computer the first thing I discovered were porn sites, lol. ^_^ After that as a gamer I naturally found gamefaqs and all kinds of Zelda sites and forums. Then I became interested in ZC so I post here sometimes.

You have a cool dad. icon_wink.gif

Anyhow... first time I used the internet, I went to stupid sites like cartoonnetwork and stuff. Later on, I ditched that lame excuse of a site and went to GameFAQ's. Wherein I became a member, posting all sorts of crap on the message boards. Sooner or later, I told the people I was only 11, and thus, I was banned.
Sooner or later, I found out about ROM's. I honestly have no clue how, either. I was all like "OMG DAD I CN DONLOAD GAMS ONTO MY COMPUTR OMG HAXXOR".
Anyhow, later on, I was looking for a Zelda 1 ROM for no apparent reason. Anyway, I was looking for one... and I stumbled upon Zelda Classic's main site. Dunno how, don't care. Downloaded it, thinking "Wow. I can make my own games.". Anyhow, liked it, and later on found out about PureZC. Went to the site, downloaded a crapload of stuff, and eventually made an account. It took me a while to learn proper grammar, though.
So, uh... here I am now. I went to other forums besides this one, but I'm too lazy to post information about them.

I didn't really do much when I first got on the internet, really. It was mostly just me looking up guides for games and things like that. Although, later I did start playing "Ants" on MSN. I made a few friends there, one being a girl whom I quickly gained a crush on. She was always online with her father, but being the stupid ten-year-old boy I was, I told her I loved her (of course, I didn't really. Just a little ten-year-old boy crush... I just didn't really know any better.) Yeah... never heard from her again. icon_razz.gif Funny story, though I do feel bad for her. She was probably banned from the internet because her father thought I was some child predator. icon_xd.gif

I don't remember exactly but I believe the first thing I ever did myself on the Internet was to register an AIM account, back when the first free version of the instant messenger came out. At the time we had 28.8k dialup and I didn't really understand what the Internet was. It seemed like something really boring people did on the crummy Windows 3.1/95 computers people used at school, for research. I had only used Macs at that point too and was completely new to Windows and thought it was some Windows-specific thing as well. Feels like forever ago now.

I'm not really sure... I was first introduced to the Internet when someone showed me what emails were, but I wasn't really using it at that time... I probably would have been just browsing sites like www.bonus.com and stuff to play games, though...

Wow. It has been so long ago when I used the internet for the first time. I don't even remember what specifically I did, but it was back in the days when I used AOL 3.0 I believe, accessing the internet through the AOL web brower (mid 90s), which I admit was total crap. The first time I ever heard of the internet was in 1990 I believe (I was in fifth grade at the time), and of course I didn't understand what it was, so I though nothing of it. Back then .com to me meant "command file", the smaller version of .exe.

First I made an ass of myself. Then I felt guilty about it for years! ^_^

...Heheh, seriously though, what I'm talking about was a mailing list I inadvertently joined. I still say mailing lists are the forums of the devil. They bring out the worst in people, and worse yet, there's no way to delete, edit, or move messages once they've been posted.

Aside from that, when I got started on the internet in 2006, I quickly got into webchat, and then into webchat role-playing. The first forum I ever frequented is actually still up and running:

http://www.keltik.net/

As the site says, it's "The Web's Oldest Continously Operating Free Multiroom Chat Service © 1993-2006." There's not much role-playing there anymore, but if you'd like to know what it was like, just go read the archives of the webcomic Elf Only Inn. I'm sure it will be a much more amusing way to learn about webchat RP than actually joining one. icon_wink.gif
