when Death Drain is cast, one of the selections are immediately killed, where all the points are distributed in a sense like this:
a = points available that the selected item has
b = number of items (excluding the selected item)
d = amount of points given to each item (selected excluded)
d = a / b
make note that d is truncated to an integer, so if d is 0.67, no one will get any points. Also, you can't cast it if there are at most three participants left in the game.
Now, how to choose. I can't choose, but though three numbers and two symbols the choice is made, so the following posts must choose a number between 0 and 9, or select one of the four symbols: +,-,*, and -. Choosing follows as:

and thus the equation is performed, which then the selected (if greater or less than the selection, the list is "repeated" until the number matches the item) item is eliminated and its points redistributed.
