For me, I'm intothe punk/rock grouping so my favorite bands are: The Misfits, AFI, MxPx, NoFX, Mustard Plug, Less than Jake, and many others that I probobly can't think of right now.

At the moment..

Nightwish, Cradle of Filth, Mudvayne, Theatres Des Vampires, and... Tool..and a little A Perfect Circle.

I'm a huge fan of Gothic and Black Metal..mostly Gothic..but there are some mainstream bands I enjoy. What I really find funny is that some will call Cradle of Filth "Nu-Metal" when they have no idea what that is.

I'll listen to practically anything of quality.

Maroon 5, Weezer, classical, jazz quartets, Enya, Phil Collins, video game and movie soundtracks, Presidents of the United States of America, Smashmouth, Weird Al for laughs...

...enough variety for you? I also enjoy some more current bands, but I hear almost all of them on the radio, so I'm not good at identifying them by name. These days I rarely buy CDs, because I don't feel the urge to listen to a whole album by one group at a time, and I also don't like the vice grip recording companies have on musical talent. Consequently, I'm rather hoping MP3 affects the music industry as much as possible in the next ten years.

I've heard wonderful things about Evanescence. I should seriously consider adopting more of their songs under my proverbial (Okay, NOT proverbial at all) wing.

Fear Factory, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, ... But ... Admittedly, the VAST majority of my music comes from video games.

I like the gothic darkwave stuff. I like some of the rock stuff too. My favorite band would have to be Green Day. I like listen to Green Day , Evanescence, Maroon 5, Enya, and various other so long as it is not opera or honky tonk.
