Metroid Nova's status is unknown. I'm still not certain of which hard drive had the crash. I kinda think it is ok though.
still anyone know a way i can write data from the good drives on a CD or something? It would be very beneficial if you could please get a hold of Bagel/Bengal. He might be able to help. (using 3ds right now)

I was going to say Try a linux Live cd But shoot your computer Is out of the question
For getting a linux live cd off the interweb
Let me ask do you have another computer That has high speed internet
Connection?
That way You could go get a KuBuntu iso OR something
And burn it on disk?
Then you could boot it up with the Live Cd Option
And the use the burning program with Linux To save some of your data
Maybe..

The Ubuntu boot disc trick doesn't work particularly well unless you already have a crap ton of free HD space to move the data to, since if I recall, Ubuntu boot discs don't have a built-in cd/dvd burn software, you have to DL that separately (which, when booting directly from an Ubuntu CD, is not an option)

The best solution I can think of is to try hooking up your drive as a second drive to a different computer and pulling stuff off from there. Of course, I just have a bunch of slave computers laying around my house so this is probably easier for me than for someone else. But if you happen to have access to a second working computer, I'd say your best bet would be to hook up your current main drive to that computer as a second drive.
The Ubuntu boot disc trick doesn't work particularly well unless you already have a crap ton of free HD space to move the data to, since if I recall, Ubuntu boot discs don't have a built-in cd/dvd burn software, you have to DL that separately (which, when using the "boot ubuntu without making changes to your computer" option, is not particularly...possible)
Well that'll work as-well as long as you have a spare computer Sitting around
You just have to set the jumper to slave mode then Stick it in another computer
And use that computer to browse the data then you can copy the data of the hard drive then burn it to disk
And DR what do you mean A ubuntu cd don't come with a burning software?
I have a cd of the Kubuntu
and comes with The caffeine burner on disk and you can use it right off live cd mode..

That's new then. My boot disk doesn't have that. But then, mine's Ubuntu Desktop 9.10, and it's from over a year ago, so...
