Last I heard, the latest builds didn't have anything new, just bug-fixes.
Whether that's a sign that 2.5 is nearing completion or not, I don't know.

I don't think anybody knows when the next version is coming out. I might be soon, or it might be another year or more. I'm hoping soon though.
