I have no idea what is going on, but I can't play the quests I've downloaded. After fiddling around with it for hours, I still can't figure out what I'm not doing right. I downloaded the quests and put them in my ZC folder. I even went to the misc. to set the directories (and I can clearly see the quests I downloaded) but I still can't play them. All I have right now are the 5 different quests that came with the program. Did I overlook something really simple? I have them all in the right folder.

Well, make a new game, and name it whatever. Now, whatever you have your A and B buttons set to, press A to bring up the selection menu. Select the quest you want to play. It should show up then.
And if this isn't the problem, the problem may be you using the wrong version.

did you try this?:
register your name on the file select screen.
press the "a" button to bring up a menu.
press the "a" button again to choose "custom quest."
click "browse" and find the custom quest file.
press OK and then start your game by pressing "enter."
edit: what Bix said. >.<

Oh. No wonder! It is a bit on the obscure side. Perhaps better documentation would be nice. I was going nuts trying to figure it out and thought I overlooked something really simple.
Anyway, thanks alot for your help!

Yeah, I wouldn't've figured it out if it weren't for TS.

Which is me.
Anyways, that should really be placed somewhere public where people new to ZC can easily see it. It took me a while to figure it out: I just pressed random buttons.

Documentation is something that ZC needs really badly right now. I honestly can't tell you how many help topics I've made for simple things that have absolutely no explanation.
Anyway, thanks alot for your help!

That's what the ZC Documentation Wiki is for.

When I first downloaded ZC back in 1999 or 2000. I was making a quest but didn't know how to play it. So I left. I came back like 4, 5 years later and read about pressing A to play the quest. I was like.... I can't believe it... So yeah, it should say on the screen, press A to play custom quests.
