THIS MUST ONLY BE ONE DUNGEON. JUST ONE DUNGEON GAME.
HALF AN OVERWORLD IS THE SIZE LIMIT.

This may or may not mean one dmap.

Well, I understand the 1-bit rule now and I'm working around it now and my tree unbelievably, my tree looks better. I'm actually thinking for the heck of it to make my colors green and black, that would be interesting...

I think what they mean is:
BG, Color 1, and color 2.

Sharon, calm down. They're just trying to figure out if the contest calls for two colors in the CSet, or two visible colors. I think it would be safe to assume that the contest calls for two visible colors, else sprites would be reduced to just one

Yes, two VISIBLE colours, but the transparent colour ALSO has to be the same as one of those two colours otherwise people could cheat and get three colours.

I feel your pain SD

Errr yea.
You have to PM the quest first, UNPASSWORDED so I can check if you used ONLY two colors.
ALSO, you may use up to 255 dmaps.

What if color 0 is a gray for making sprites, but is never actually shown anywhere in the quest? I'd assume that's okay.

EDIT: You know, if you can't live without grays, make it animate in 2 tiles at speed 0 with alternating dithering. It might cause a little motion sickness, but it makes a pseudo-gray.

This caught my interest so I started to mess around with some tiles. It's a lot harder than I thought. And I already thought it was hard.

You could also go for a black and brownish-gold color (like the original GB). That'd be pretty cool.

I'm considering doing this just for the heckuv it, but I'm not sure right now.

This sounds like fun, actually. I might take up this challange later when I have a computer that can run ZC. Quicky, simple, fast, I like.

Getting after SD aside, I'd also like to mention that I'm taking part as well. Sounds like fun, and I've always wanted to do a really low-color styled game
